SUMMARY:Vancouver DEMO - Hollyburn Sailing Club
DESCRIPTION:Hollyburn is excited to launch its inaugural foiling program which will be in trial phase for the remainder of the year. Part of the program includes several WASZP Demo Days over the next couple months. Sailors are invited to come sail and experience the WASZP on select days starting August 19. There is a small fee of $25 to cover coaching costs of the demo days. \nEven if you’re not comfortable sailing a foiling boat\, people are encouraged to come down and learn about foiling boats from the coaches who will have the boat there rigged and on the water. \nDates: \nBelow are the scheduled Demo Days and we encourage everyone to apply while spots last on the Hollyburn Campbrain Registration site: https://hollyburnsc.campbrainregistration.com/ under “WASZP 2023”. We will contact you if you are eligible to sail. Please do not pay for the demo until your application is approved. \n\nAug 19 – AM: 10:00am – 12:30pm\nAug 19 – PM: 1:00pm – 3:30pm \nSept 04 – AM: 10:00am – 12:30pm\nSept 04 – PM: 1:00pm – 3:30pm\nSept 30 – AM: 10:00am – 12:30pm\nSept 30 – PM: 1:00pm – 3:30pm\n\n\nFormat: \nEach session will have space for 4 sailors. This will allow for adequate time in the boat for each sailor wanting to get on the water. \nEach session will begin with an introduction to the WASZP\, how the flight systems work\, safety items\, and answering any questions sailors might have! If anyone wants to be a part of the on land intro to the boat\, and no desire to sail\, they are encouraged to show up at the beginning of any of the sessions – no need to sign up. \nSailors will have to wear a helmet if intending to sail the boat and should come changed and ready to sail to maximize the amount of time on the water.

SUMMARY:Foiling coach clinic
DESCRIPTION:WeCANFoil\, in partnership with Sail Canada and Voile Quebec\, are hosting a Canadian Foiling Development clinic in Montréal. \nApplications are open to any existing registered certified Sail Canada Instructors/Coaches who are keen to develop their instructor certifications as a new Foiling Instructor\, and aid in the development of Sail Canada foiling development curriculum. Applications are due no later than April 20\, 2023. \nNo foiling experience is required for attendance at this clinic. \nApplication is required for attendance\, if successful\, an invitation for registration will be shared with you. \nRegistration for this will be $400.00. \nBilleting or travel subsidies may be available. \nInstructors who are interested in further skill development are invited to attend May 26-28 for a Sail Canada foiling sailing skills development clinic and pilot. \nPlease complete the form and be sure to include a cover letter outlining your experience and why you would make a great candidate for this clinic.
